Saving map views allows you to set a home view and also save key locations for your plan without having to manually find it each time.
If you have a key location that will be the focus of your plan, Iventis allows you to save that location, instead of having to find it every time you open your plan. Furthermore, if you have multiple key locations that are spread across an area, you can save them. This means you can move between your key locations with just a few clicks.
Setting your first map view
To start, when you have created your plan, zoom into the area you'd like to start working in. Once you've found the location, you'll receive a pop up asking to "Set this location as default for plan?". Once you're happy, press "Save View". This will become the default location each time your plan is opened.
Changing your default map view
If you need to change your default map view, click on the search icon at the bottom left corner of the screen. In this interface, you'll be able to see the current saved views, and edit if need by by clicking on the edit button. You can also search for a new location, saved view or object in this interface.
If you want this to be the new default map view, ensure the "Make this the plan's default view" tickbox is ticked, and press "Save".
Creating multiple saved map views
If you're working on different sites over a wide area, Iventis allows you to create multiple map views, which you can move between with ease. To do this, you can either press the search button and type in a new location, or simply drag the map to where is desired. Then, under the search icon, click on "Create a new saved view", and you can then press the "Save" button that appears at the top of the screen, give it a name and then press "Save" again.
To go to a saved map view, simply click on the search button at the bottom left of the screen, and click on the map views you have created.
