# Draw a fixed shape circle

## Quickly add a circular area to your map by defining its centre point and size.

### Step 1: Select an area layer

Select the layer where you want to draw the circle. This activates drawing mode.

### Step 2: Select the circle tool

Open the dropdown next to the polygon drawing tool and select Circle.

### Step 3: Draw the circle

Click the centre point, move the pointer outwards, then click again to set the circle's size.
