When you import layers from one plan into another, you can unlink the imported layer from the parent plan.
It is important to UNLINK a layer if you want the layer to be a “Copy”. To do this, at the bottom of the layer navigation panel, you can see an unlink button. Ensure your layer is selected, and then press the Unlink Layer button
You’ll then see the below as a pop-up on your screen. Copying layers with map objects will create a copy of the layer, but this time, any changes you make won’t affect the original parent layer. In this layer, if you want to import the layer without any objects, toggle off "Copy layer with map objects". This is useful if you want to use the layers as a template with all the attributes and style settings, without having to recreate this again from scratch. It won’t bring any map objects over, just the layer template. Press Unlink when you have decided on your option.
