Iventis's snapping tool can help you align 2D objects and "snap" them together.
Objects can be “snapped” together to make it easy to align them with each other. Note: This is only available for 2D geometries such as lines, points, areas and 3d areas. It does not include 3d models. To snap objects together, first create the objects and turn on the snapping tool by clicking the “magnet” icon in the toolbar.
You will now be able to move the object next to the first object, and the first two “nodes” to come into contact will snap together. You can keep moving the object until you are satisfied with the position. The nodes that are snapping are indicated by a red dot (see below).
